About the auction
Enjoy a part of our history by bidding on a piece of art from the NN Collection.
NN has collected contemporary art since 1963. These pieces were enjoyed throughout NN's buildings and across many generations of colleagues. Now, due to fewer office buildings and desk areas where we can hang art on the wall, we are in the position to offer parts of our collection for sale. This allows us to give the artwork more visibility and offer the artists a new audience. We believe that our collection does not belong in storage - the pieces deserve to be appreciated and on display. That is why we are organising an art auction for our colleagues in the Netherlands. The selection on offer includes works from contemporary (mostly Dutch) figurative artists.
We hope that the works find a welcoming new home and the appreciation they deserve.
Proceeds
With the proceeds from the auction, we will support emerging artists and invest in new pieces of art. For example, with the proceeds of the first NN Art Auction, we commissioned the glass artwork DNNA by Pieke Bergmans. This artwork is located in the entrance of our headquarters in The Hague and has become a recognisable part of the building and the NN values. With this auction we hope to once again extend our art collection; the proceeds from this years auction will go towards a commissioned artwork by Jop Vissers Vorstenbosch for the new atrium at Haagse Poort in 2027.
